THELMA MOOD MEMORIAL FUND

The Thelma Mood Memorial Fund was created in memory of the mother of our former Director, Stephen Mood. The fund enables FCDSS to purchase supplies such as shampoo, soap, toothpaste, health care equipment, and emergency food for elders on special diets. The Department has learned from experience that these very basic items are often urgently needed by our community's seniors and disabled adults as they strive to maintain their independence and avoid the public cost and personal trauma of institutionalization. Every dollar donated to the Fund is used to assist seniors and disabled adults; no funds are expended for administrative costs.
